Fuddy Meers

By David Lindsay-Abaire

In 2005, Fishy Productions produced the Australian Premier of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Fuddy Meers with The Darlinghurst Theatre Company. Fuddy Meers is a romping rollercoaster ride. An amnesiac mother, Claire, is kidnapped by a mysterious limping, lisping man. They meet up with his jail escapee buddy who expresses himself through a sock puppet. The characters lead the audience through a hysterical maze of bedlam. Will Claire find the clarity she seeks by the end of the day when she will once again forget all?

“Claire’s journey of self-knowledge and forgetfulness is really entertaining, but it is also edifying… you’re in another dimension of pure entertainment.”- The Blurb

“The show is teaming with uniquely flawed characters and punchy one-liners…the sadder past of domestic violence and abuse is handled with the same authenticity as the physical gags and slapstick.”- Vibewire
